VACATIONS
Anyone got any upcoming vacations? Where and when are you going?
We need to try and get together sometime for lunch like we did once before~what do ya think??? Maybe sometime in the spring we could all meet somewhere~but all of us must be able to come~last time Toni wasn't there!
YEAH,WE ARE GOING TO VEGAS!!!! IN OCT, YOUR GOING TOO SILLY. AND MAYBE WE'LL GO TO THE SMOKIES IN MAY, I DON'T KNOW YET. BUT I HAVE ABOUT 130 HRS. OF PTO TIME LEFT FROM LAST YEAR TO USE, ANY SUGGESTIONS.
Let's do lunch. Maybe Olive Garden or somewhere like that. In the spring maybe, when the weather gets better! Roscoe wants to go to New York! I don't know anything about that, has anyone ever been ? I would not even know how to go about it. I'm sure there would be alot to see, but I've heard it is very expensive to go there. And of course, our annual Vegas trip! I love going there.
ACTUALLY, I WOULD LOVE TO GO TO NEW YORK CITY, OR TO THE GRAND CANYON, THOSE ARE THE 2 PLACES I'D LIKE TO SEE. BETTER START SAVING MY PENNYS. KELLY, I'M SURE WE'LL BE DOWN THERE IN A COUPLE WEEKS FOR ANDY'S B-DAY, WELL DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER.I WON'T BE TAKING A REAL VACATION AT LEAST UNTIL NANCY GETS BACK TO WORK.. YES, WE SHOULD DO THE LUNCH THING!!
BUTCH'S BROTHER AND SISTER IN LAW JUST WENT TO NEW YORK IN OCT, FOR ABOUT 4 DAYS, I'LL HAVE HIM FIND OUT ABOUT WHAT IT COST, THEY HAD SOME KIND OF PKG, HAD SOME TOUR THING SET UP,CENTRAL PARK, STATUE OF LIBERTY, THINGS LIKE THAT, DOESN'T THAT SOUND LIKE FUN?
I'd like to go on a vacation! Too bad I just started a new job. No PTO time yet! Why don't you guys skip your Vegas trip and go to New York. You could get about one hotel room in N.Y. for the price of 3 in Vegas. Nothing wrong with six people to a room, you could sleep in shifts. The Statue of Liberty is neat. It's a far climb to the top though. I would like to go back there to see more stuff. Maybe in a few years!
OH, NO LISA, WE CAN'T SKIP THE VEGAS TRIP, ARE YOU CRAZY, THE NEW YORK TRIP WOULD HAVE TO BE INADDITION TOO!!!I HEAR YOU JUST GOT BACK FROM VACATION. AND HOW IS YOUR NEW JOB GOING? THAT ROOM IN N.Y WOULD BE VERY EXPENSIVE THEN, CAUSE OUR ROOMS IN VEGAS ARE FREE! WELL IF YOU'VE BEEN THERE TELL US ALL ABOUT IT.
Hey since so many of us want to take a trip to NY then lets all save our money and go together~we'll fly in ~ stay right down town~ get a tour pkg and have a ball~ so we have to start planning soon and saving our money~come on let's do it~we have to (I guess) let the husbands go~so that would be 12 of us all together~ just have to get Sue & Bob~ Peg and Eddie to go!!!!! Bob's sister went there last year and had a great time~I'll see what I can find out....we can talk to one of those travel people... AM I CRAZY OR WHAT ????????

I THINK IT WOULD BE GREAT,EVEN IF ITS NOT A WEEK,JUST 3 OR 4 DAYS.ONCE IN A LIFE-TIME THING, AND WE SHOULD DO IT WHILE WE'RE ALL STILL ABLE TO GET AROUND!!SO WE COULD ENJOY IT.
Okay then all aboard~we'll take the train~I've always wanted to ride the rails~~~~let's start planning and getting everyone on board~~~~~how do you get free rooms in Vegas???????
We can take he train to Grand Central Station catch a cab to the Hotel and have a tour package set up for us to see all the sights~why not 5-6 days maybe a week~~~Okay we need some ideas and we need to find out who all is willing to go for it!!!!!!!!
Well I'll go too! Jenny can handle the store and Keith can handle the kids!!!!!!!!LOL YEAH RIGHT! Fine you hootchie mommas go to NY and all of us younger generation will do something fun too! lol I know we will all go stay with Lisa and Bryan in Chicago!!!!!
We get free rooms in Vegas because we all joined their players club and they want us to keep coming back and donating money so they give us free rooms!
Driving would be fun~ROAD TRIP!!! you old folks wouldn't have kids screaming to go pee and asking the famous question~ARE WE THERE YET?! you should all rent a big suburban or bus or something and take food and goodies and then take turns driving, sleeping and eating! What an experience that would be!!!!!
YAEH THAT SOUNDS LIKE FUN, AND WE WOULD HAVE ENOUGH DRIVERS, I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE PIT STOPS THOUGH, BUTCH HAS TO STOP AT EVERY REST STOP WHEN WE'RE ON THE ROAD.I THINK FOR EXPENSE, WE'D BETTER THINK SPRING OR FALL, CAUSE IF WE GO DURING PEAK TIMES, PRICES ARE ONLY MORE AS FAR AS ROOMS GO.
I haven't lost interest in this~ It would be neat to plan a vacation together~if not NYC then maybe somewhere else~we just need to come up with a plan or something for maybe next year or 2010!!!!!! But we have to get everyone in on it!!!!!

The Smokies would be great~still takes a good days drive~but they have nice cabins down there and I hear they have large cabins to rent with plenty of sleeping space and small kitchens~we wouldn't have to eat out all the time~at least not breakfast!!!!! Peg & Ed and Sue & Bob would probably like the smokies too! What do y'all think??? It is a neat place and plenty to do~~~

AND THERE IS A LOT TO DO,GATLINBURG, PIGEON FORGE, LOTS OF SHOPS,SITES TO SEE, AND OF COURSE THE MOUNTAINS.WE'LL SEE WHAT EVERYONE HAS TO SAY.

Since I've never been there I'd feel more comfortable going with a group and it would be so much fun~we should all be able to save enough money to go if we plan it a year or so in advance~don't ya think~if everyone isn't up for it maybe those of us that want to go should plan it any way!!!!!! Let's see what we can get going~and start doing some planning!!!!What do ya say to that???
WELL, IF WE'RE TALKING NEXT YEAR,OR 2010, THEN YEAH, I'M IN, I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO GO THERE. IF WE'VE GOT THAT MUCH TIME TO SAVE AND PLAN IT SHOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM. I GUESS WE'LL JUST HAVE TO FIND OUT WHO REALLY WANTS TO GO.

Not until summer~last week of June til 1st or 2nd of July Gibson family reunion in Tn. We may take a short trip to Tn in the spring?

Train to NYC is 20 hrs. Lisa I didn't know you were getting a new job- where are you working now? I thought you liked your job you had?
